Over looking the small town I was raised in, perched in an ancient apple orchard, high on the flanks of Red Oak Mountain there sits a lone park bench. Only a lucky few know the location of this sanctuary, with a view that is likely unparalleled in a county that is a mecca for its vistas. These photos of a fog wave rolling through the foothills of the mountains were taken just before sunset on Saturday evening. I soaked in the pura vida, tired, from the table delivery for my Dad's business that Marshall and I had returned from in the early hours of the Saturday morning. We started out in Sperryville at four thirty in the morning and hit the pavement in the fog of a morning that started hours before its time. One stop in downtown Philly followed by three in New Jersey and we finished up with two stops in Connecticut. A stop at White Castle gave us the energy to drive through the night, touching base back in Sperryville at two in the morning; twenty one hours non-stop driving - felt like four, we still got it.
