This Sunday morning I rolled into the lower parking lot of Old Rag on my bike, fresh out of Winchester. Chad pulled up a few minutes later. We got the radio and headed up the mountain to do the Old Rag Mountain Steward thing for the day. Despite the beautiful weather there were surprisingly few people making the trek up the flanks of Shenandoah's best rock scramble. We used the gear at the Bird's Nest cache to practice some anchor building techniques before headed down the trail. Dinner in Woodville was great. Then a nice cool ride back to the Chester on my motorcycle made for a great way to close out the weekend.
