Floyd Fest

This past weekend was Floyd Fest with William Walter and Co. and the weather couldn't have been better. Back from Los Angeles, our plane touched down at Dulles somewhere in the early morning light of my Blue Ridge mountains. A tired drive to Fairfax, sorted gear from the Mt. Rainier trip, then drive to Winchester, then a drive to Rappahannock, dinner, then a drive down to William's place in C-ville. A little sleep and then a drive down to Floyd Fest. So, I was a little worn out, but the Festival got my spirits up as soon as the truck tires hit the grass. We played three sets over three days, much to the crowds pleasure; in fact we won best band at the festival!! Our merch sold like hotcakes and the rest you'll have to catch on VH1's Behind the Music. Not to mention the Festival Folks picked up the tab on the hotel room, which was great since I had been camping out west for the past week.
